NanoCommons Knowledge Base
Overview
The NanoCommons Knowledge Base is based on the BioXM TM Knowledge Management Environment, a software developed over the last 15 years by Biomax Informatics AG and applied in multiple collaborative research projects and commercial environments. Within NanoCommons the following services are offered:
Data management ensuring FAIR principles
Particles ordering management
Collaborative projects as well as individual particle providers can upload available particles including basic characterisation descriptors and documentation such as safety sheets and protocols. Producer information such as organisation description, contact, material availability can be searched by requestors who can place orders for particles. Producers can process those orders up to shipping and confirmation of recieval with an overview of status information. Unique particle and batch IDs ensure traceability of materials for characterisation and toxicological assessment data.
Particle physicochemical, toxicological and omics characterisation
Physicochemical, toxicological and omics characterisation data such as DLS, Zeta, TEM size % of viable cells, IC50, gene expression data etc. can be uploaded based on either Excel templates or standard formats such as . The characterisation is automatically connected to the particle ordering system and can be searched interactively or by API.
