NanoCommons, the organising projects and the NanoSafety Cluster recognise the demands faced by scientists navigating the balance between work-life commitments.
As a result, children under the age of 18 will be allowed in all meeting areas. Please note, children must be under direct supervision of their parents/nannies at all times.
Parents recognise that this is a professional meeting and that our exhibitors bring expensive and valuable equipment to the meeting, and parents are held responsible for any damages their children may cause. Please note that damages caused by children are not covered by the event insurance. The organisers reserve the right to ask parents/nannies to remove the child from the meeting.
All children need to be registered – you can register them during the registration process. Children that are not registered, and therefore will not have a badge, are not allowed to access any rooms, the exhibition hall, etc.
0 – 10 years: registration required – no costs
11 – 17 years: registration required – guest badge – 50€ to cover meals / refreshments
(add this item to your own registration during the registration process)
Depending on the number of children registered we may also organise some day-time activities for the children / family members.
Nursing facilities
If you need any nursing facilities during the meeting, please send an email to l.c.gheorghe@bham.ac.uk at least one week prior to the meeting.
Bring your own nannie / parent registration
If you want to bring a nannie / parent to the meeting, please add this person as “guest” to your own registration during your registration process. Nannies / parents pay a fee of 50€ to cover refreshments.
